The Area

Working in Clinton County

Wilmington, Blanchester, Sabina and the villages between Cincinnati and Columbus.

Clinton is small, and that is exactly why it matters. The larger agencies do not bother staffing out here properly, so a DSP who actually lives locally is close to irreplaceable and we treat the relationship that way.

Getting around. I-71, US-22, US-68 and SR-73 cross here. Wilmington to Lebanon is half an hour, to Hillsboro about the same. It is rural, and the drives are the pleasant kind rather than the sitting in traffic kind.

Where the work actually happens in Clinton County

A good part of this job is getting somebody out of the house and into their own community. Knowing the area is a real advantage, and if you already know these places you are ahead before you start. In Clinton County that regularly means:

What We Look For

Requirements

DODD eight hour orientation certificate, or willingness to complete it
Current CPR and First Aid certification
Valid driver's license, a reliable vehicle and current auto insurance
High school diploma or equivalent
Social Security card, for I-9 verification
Experience as a DSP, STNA, HHA, caregiver, home health aide or personal care aide is welcome. We also train the right person
